Be Back Soon (Gran's sick)

Hello, I know I said I'd post every Monday and Friday.  I had planned over posting my thoughts on Diverity in Young Adults Novel and what Diverity means to me today, but Grandmother is very sick.  Doesn't look like she's be with us much longer so I'm sending most of my time with her and my family.  I plan to start blogging again soon.
See you then,
Annie

Who Inspired My Main Character

Vanessa Marano
Vanessa Marano Pictures

Today I wish to share some information about my main character Hannah David, who is inspired by the amazing actress Vanessa Marano.

HOW DID I CHOOSE MY MAIN CHARACTER'S NAME

I originally name her Stormy Ann David.
But I want to get the idea that she descended from King David is the bible so in the 2nd draft named her Hannah David.

DID I MAKE ANY CONSCIOUS DECISIONS ABOUT HER APPEARANCE?

Vanessa Marano with her performance in the TV series Switch at Birth inspired my character in looks and maybe behaviors.  I'm not sure Hannah acts like anything like Vanessa's character Bay now.  But if I picked an actress to preform Hannah, Vanessa Marano would be my dream pick.

There a little bit about Hannah.
What inspired your characters?

A book I Can't Wait For!

What if Cinderella wanted revenge and not true love?
What if love found her anyway and it's not the prince?

This is part of the plot of Shadows of the Moon.
(I really can't wait for this book!)

A is for Annie

Hello, I’m Annie Gray. Welcome to my blog and my first blog post thought I tell you a little about myself.
I’m a Alabama girl (No, I don’t mean the University of Alabama’s football, not a football fan)
I mean I live in Alabama, born and raise along the cotton fields (really wish I could say that, but I grew up across the road from the cows grazing real slow on grass)  I like to think I’m a good county southern girl.
Born premature, I have a hearing lost. Wait, there’s no need for American Sign Language if you meet me.   I’ll hear you; just have to get use to your voice, accent and the way your lips move. If you are one who signs please go slow been a few years since I’ve signed. Oh and my brain and hands are not connect very well anymore, so bare with me my signing bad.
As a means to escape the noise crowds where I didn’t hear well, I daydreamed, in the halls at school and the lunch room.  One day one of my many aunts said “If you’re going to daydream that much you need to write a story.
So I did.
A very short novel (less then 20 pages) called Wind Breaker Island, about talking animals, a lost prince and a girl far from home.
Since then I have attempt to write many more stories and learned a great deal from those attempts for example: just write the crazy novel.
I finally did just write the crazy novel and now editing it.  I might sneak in a few reports on my progress now and then, along with book reviews and others thoughts running through my head.
I hope you will visit again. I’ll be here Mondays and Fridays.
